Pastor Scott is the kind of guy who will probably know your name after your first visit to our church (but maybe not now since we just put it in writing!) He led the team that planted Gold Coast Christian Church and has served as its senior pastor since the beginning. Scott is very gifted in Bible teaching and shepherding the church. His messages are always funny, animated, practical and, of course, challenging. Scott has a big heart for those who are not yet Christ-followers as well as helping believers grow in their relationship with God, and it shows in the way he leads our congregation. Scott is a family man. He is proudly married to Sharon and together they have four great kids: Blake, Leigha, Bryce and Sara. They love to spend time together with camping trips to Carpinteria State Beach or day trips to Disneyland. During his free time, Scott enjoys playing the banjo. The kids often complain they can’t hear the TV because of Dad’s banjo “music”. Scott is in a bluegrass band called “Somis Highway.”
